The corals, rich marine life and the warm water makes
Maldives a divine destination for diving.
Maldives is particularly known for its rich whale and
dolphin fauna.

The south west season is a good time to dive in the

The southwest season for the eastern side of the

Macro Diving and Wreck diving can be done in the
Maldives too. But they do not have much to offer.
The south Ari atoll is the best known dive spots
across the Maldives. There are more than 30 dive sites close by (one-hour boat
ride) and offer amazing variety of corals, fish life and big fish encounters.
Dive site such as Kuda Rah Thila, Broken rock, Manta
point and maamigili Beru are all within easy reach of Vakarufalhi.

Dhonkalho Thila
This is one of the most famous sites in Maldives. It
is best known for the abundance of manta rays and large reef fish.
Fesdhoo wreck
This is a very famous wreck site in Maldives. It is
located in the southwest off the Coast of Fesdhoo Island. Early morning dives
will be recommended if you wish to see hammerheads patrolling in the water.
This dive site will make you encounter with grouper fish, moray eels, lionfish,
butterfly fish, white tip reef sharks and a couple more, at any time.
Fotteyo Kandu
Many divers consider this the best site in the
Maldives and also rated among the top 5 dive sites in the world. Creatures
commonly spotted include grey reef shark, jack and tuna and midnight snappers.
This site would give you and exhilarating and once in
a lifetime experience.
Hans hass place (gulhifalhhu)
This is a favorite site for scuba divers and holiday
goers.
This brilliant dive spot and reef is filled with
invertebrates and stunning coral formations as well as picturesque caves and
features suitable for divers of all levels.
The caves here will make you see variety of soldier
fish, such as the shadow-fin soldier fish, alongside scribbled filefish,
trumpet fish and the freckled hawkish.
Other sites include Maalhos Thila, Banana reef, broken
rock, Dhevana Kandu, Dhigali Haa, and Embudhoo Kandu etc.
