Relaxing in the Maldives


Sometimes all you need is a little escape from the external world and relax your body and mind.

Take a deep breath and close your eyes. Imagine the sounds of the waves crashing to the sore, the palm trees gently swaying to the breeze, the smell of salt, and the sand gentle on your feet. Imagine allowing yourself to wander into a deep and blissful relaxation. No heavy sounds, just nature and you.

Sounds ecstatic, right?

There are couple of things you can pamper yourself when relaxing in the Maldives.

#Sunset watching
This would be a mesmerizing sight.
Watch the shades of reds and oranges filter through the high clouds, the sun quietly setting, the tones of the sunset reflected on the ocean, have a drink and enjoy all the magnificent sight, wouldn’t that be soothing for your mind?

#Meditating
Meditation is the art of focusing attention to one point.
Sit on the beach with your legs crossed, with your back straight and your shoulders relaxed. Close your eyes and listen to the sound of the waves. Free yourself from all thoughts, when a thought enters gently bring your attention to your breath. Allow yourself to completely feel relaxed. You can use meditating music if you want. Sit for however long you may like. And at the end you will feel completely Zen.

#Walk on the beach
This is very simple but this can make you feel calm and relaxed.
Take your sandals or off. Feel the sand pressing on your feet. Stop, look around. Enjoy the sight. Enjoy to wander off.  Dip your toes in the water. Take your time and enjoy for a moment.

#Swim
Grab your swim wear and take a dip in the water. Feel the water touching your skin. Let your whole body relax. Flow on the water. Look at the azure blue sky. Swim around the water. Feel the stress being released from your body and mind.
This will be a nice way to start off your day.

#Yoga
The word yoga means “to join” or “to yoke”. The purpose to unite the body, mind and spirit.
Grab yourself a mat. Or you can do it without a mat, if you prefer. Focus on the breathing. Concentrate on the muscles that are being stretched.  The warmth of the sand, the natural breeze and the sounds of waves will make it more peaceful and easy to calm yourself. Allow yourself to feel absolutely rejuvenated. This will be a very healthy and soothing experience for you.
